MEET OUR GROOMERS

MIKE
With 15 years of experience grooming the dogs of Dupont Circle, you could say that Dupont's dogs might look different if Mike weren't around. Mike's love for dogs, and gentle, relaxed demeanor shows through with every grooming client and his clients are often surprised to see their dogs excited to return for grooming each and every time! He understands the importance of building a relationship with you and your dog and is careful to make sure that you pup is safe and relaxed while in his care.

With so many years of experience, Mike is familiar with all breeds and their grooming needs. His specialties, however, are with the Terriers (especially Westies, Yorkies and Miniature Schnauzers,) Shih Tzu's (he owns one himself), Cocker Spaniels, and any of the Bully Breed dogs.

 

TIFFANY
Tiffany has been grooming professionally since 2003. She most recently groomed at her own shop, Calling All Paws, in College Park, Md. Looking to spend more time with her family than owning your own business allows, Tiffany has decided to bring her grooming skills to Doggy Style.

Tiffany's positive attitude and gentle spirit is sure to make your pup feel safe and relaxed while in her care. She currently owns a Sealyham Terrier, pictured here, and has experience with showing and grooming these and other Terrier breeds. She has excellent scissoring and fluff drying skills, and is experienced in hand stripping.

 

 

SEAN
Sean just graduated from grooming school in 2011. His calm and gentle way with dogs will make him an excellent groomer. We recommend Sean for baths and light clips, while he is honing his scissoring skills by voluteering at the Washington Animal Rescue League. The work he is doing at the League makes him especially good with dogs the have recently been resuced and need a gentle. calm groomer who can help them to come out of their shell.

We offer a warm and welcoming environment while providing a clean and safe place for your pup to relax. Our open grooming area means that your pup is safe while still being a part of the action. Because your dog can see what is going on, he or she is likely to be more relaxed and less anxious while waiting to be groomed. So, instead of separating our cages into another room, our open grooming lounge provides a way for your pup to see everything that is going on, and for us to keep a wathcful eye on them throughout the day.

Our groomers use positive reinforcement techniques that are recommended by professional dog trainers. Grooming should be a positive experience for your dog, one that leaves him or her feeling like they just got pampered. If this is your pup's first grooming experience, ask us about a Socialization Visit. It only takes a few minutes and can help take the stress out of your pup's first grooming appointment.

All-Natural Shampoos & Grooming Products

Your dog is important to you and we take special care to make sure he or she is well taken care of. Therefore, we use only all-natural Earthbath shampoos and conditioners on your dog. Earthbath makes gentle shampoos that contain no soap products that can dry and damage your pup's skin and coat.

FREE Oatmeal & Aloe Baths are given to every dog at no extra charge, unless you have a special request. Oatmeal & Aloe Shampoos are recommended by veterinarians because they provide natural skin conditioners that are beneficial for your dog's skin and coat.

Natural flea & tick baths are available on request and are just as effective as strong chemical dips, but leave your dog smelling great!

Natural conditioners can be used on your pet at the end of the grooming process and leave your pet's coat shiny and smelling beautiful! These spray-on conditioners can be used between grooms to give your dog that just-groomed look and smell. Just ask one of our knowledgeable sales associates to recommend one that is right for your dog.

SAFETY FIRST!

Doggy Style Pet Spa is designed with the safety of your pet in mind. For this reason, we do not use cage dryers, which have been known to cause heat stroke in dogs. In addition, because your dog is kept in the same room where our Pet Stylists are working, we keep an eye on your dog while he or she stays with us.
