Why we opened Doggie Style Bakery
Meet Oscar and Monty, our loyal animal companions and our inspiration for Doggie Style Bakery. Everyday, as we went to work at our not-so-dog-friendly offices, they encouraged us to stay home with them, demanded that we feed them bigger, better treats, and promised to be loyal followers in exchange.

We tried to explain to them that we could not live without our jobs, but they insisted...and eventually won! With Oscar and Monty, we started to experiment with recipes, and found ways to make tasty, healthy treats while spending time with our companions. As time went on, we quit our jobs and opened a store that combined the unique offerings of a doggie bakery with humane, stylish products for dogs.

Our dogs, in exchange for our sacrifices, found new ways to get into trouble and shirk their responsibilites. But they LOVE the bakery and truly enjoy going to work every day!

What Doggie Style Bakery has taught us
As we learned to better understand our dogs, and the products we purchased for them, we found that there are a lot of products on the market the just aren't right for our dogs. We learned that when we say "It doesn't matter, they're just dogs." that we were not fulfilling our duty to truly care for our dogs. And, we learned that when we truly understand our dogs, we got found the greatest feeling of all.

Our dedication to all dogs
We have learned so much since we opened Doggie Style Bakery about caring for and understanding the needs of our dogs. And, we know now that the best dogs are the ones that were born without homes, or have lost their homes. That is to say, we DO NOT support puppy mills and we encourage our customers to find the joy of adopting their next pet!

We encourage pet adoptions by hosting adoption days at our store, by planning charity events for local rescue leagues (such as our annual Holiday Paw'traits Fund Raiser, and our Doggie Happy Hours), and by offering discounts to anyone who has recently adopted a dog (show us your adoption papers and we'll give you 10% OFF your first purchase!)

The greatest part of having a dog in our lives is just that....living with and learning from our dogs.
